Sûreté du Québec
Development of a mobile application and a website for the AMBER Alert.
Design an application that allows any individual to be notified in real time of the abduction of a child. Find a way to increase the range of alerts. Effectively and quickly trigger communication documentation data. The website facilitates the work of stakeholders for the rapid and massive release of information vital to the resolution of the abduction.
Setup in Quebec, in 2003, AMBER Alert was conceived in the United States, following a tragedy in the city of Arlington, Texas on January 13, 1996. The AMBER Alert is a rapid information system with a widespread reach that is activated when a child is abducted. Since the first hours are crucial in this type of situation, the AMBER Alert (America's Missing: Broadcasting Emergency Response) quest is, by various means of dissemination, to generate public participation in order to quickly find an abducted child whose physical safety or life is in danger.
La Sûreté du Québec wanted to increase the scope and timeliness of an Amber Alert when a child disappears.
